In a statement released to the London Stock Exchange, the company said it had launched an investigation and implemented an incident response plan.
Specific details about the cybersecurity incident and the extent of the disruption weren’t immediately clear. Shares of Morgan Advanced dropped 2.7% at the close of trading in London.
The company said it had taken “precautionary measures” to contain the incident and added that it was working to restore systems.
“Morgan will continue to assess the potential impact of the incident and is taking steps to ensure that its businesses can continue to trade with its customers and suppliers,” the company added.
A spokeswoman for Morgan Advanced declined to comment further.
