BERLIN (Reuters) – There are still questions to clarify between Germany and the European Commission regarding permitting cars using synthetic fuels beyond the EU combustion engine car phase-out in 2035, Germany’s transport minister said on Friday.
“There are still questions to be answered. We’re not fully in agreement yet,” Volker Wissing told a news conference on Friday.
In a letter to the European Commission seen by Reuters on Friday, Germany welcomed a draft EU proposal to resolve the dispute, but called for clearer assurances from Brussels.
