North Carolina insurance executive Greg E. Lindberg was indicted and charged with orchestrating a $2 billion fraud scheme.

(Bloomberg) — North Carolina insurance executive Greg E. Lindberg was indicted and charged with orchestrating a $2 billion fraud scheme.

The charges, handed down Thursday by a federal grand jury in Charlotte, accuse Lindberg and two associates of improperly taking money from Lindberg’s companies and lying to regulators to cover their tracks.
