German Authorities Raid Adler Real Estate on Account Suspicion

German authorities are raiding offices, homes and a law firm on Wednesday as part of an investigation of several people who run Adler Real Estate AG over suspected false accounting and market manipulation.

(Bloomberg) — German authorities are raiding offices, homes and a law firm on Wednesday as part of an investigation of several people who run Adler Real Estate AG over suspected false accounting and market manipulation.

The raids by Frankfurt prosecutors and Germany’s federal police affect 21 buildings in Berlin and the state of North Rhine Westphalia as well as six foreign countries, according to a statement from the authorities. An Adler spokesman confirmed the raid is related to Adler real estate.

The suspects are German, Austrian and UK citizens between the ages of 38 and 66, Frankfurt prosecutors said in a statement that didn’t name the individuals or the company.
