Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell was escorted out of a room where he was due to give a speech on monetary policy after protesters interrupted the New York event.

(Bloomberg) — Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell was escorted out of a room where he was due to give a speech on monetary policy after protesters interrupted the New York event. 

The demonstrators, who were standing arm in arm, were chanting “end fossil finance” at the start of an event at the Economic Club of New York Thursday.
