(Bloomberg) — Copper Technologies Ltd.’s chief marketing officer is leaving the company a little over a year after he was appointed, marking the latest departure from the London-based crypto custodian’s top ranks.
Nick Goode, who joined Copper to oversee its marketing operations in July 2022 and previously held roles at Revolut Ltd. and Sage Group Plc, said in a message to Bloomberg News that his departure was amicable but declined to comment further. A Copper spokesperson said Goode was hired to lead a rebrand of the firm, which was now complete.
Goode is the latest senior executive to leave the business this year, following the earlier exits of its Chief Operating Officer Sabrina Wilson and Chief Legal Officer Carly Nuzbach Lowery. Copper, which is chaired by former UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond, has sought to beef up its ranks in their absence with the hire of its first chief financial officer among other roles in April.

The crypto custodian announced in March that it would eliminate as much as 15% of its 300-person workforce in response to a prolonged industry slowdown. It also wound down its enterprise business following the termination of a longstanding licensing agreement with State Street Corp. that same month.
