(Bloomberg) — Wells Fargo & Co. hired Credit Suisse veteran Michael Kamras as a managing director in real estate, gaming, lodging and leisure, according to people with knowledge of the matter.Â
Kamras will join after a period of garden leave and report to Randy Williamson, who’s head of that business, known as REGAL, at the San Francisco-based bank, the people said, asking not to be identified because the move hasn’t been announced publicly.
Based in Los Angeles, Kamras was most recently US head of the REGAL operation at Credit Suisse, according to his LinkedIn profile. He joined the firm in 2004, Finra records show.Â
Kamras worked on transactions for companies including DraftKings Inc., Caesars Entertainment Inc. and Playtika Holding Corp., according to securities filings. He also advised Diamond Resorts International Inc. on its sale to Hilton Grand Vacations.Â
A Wells Fargo spokesperson confirmed the hire and declined to comment further. A Credit Suisse representative declined to comment.
A slew of senior Credit Suisse bankers left the firm both during and after its merger with rival UBS Group AG earlier this year. Dean Decker, who also focused on gaming transactions, joined Banco Santander SA.Â
