Police briefly cordon off area in downtown Madrid after bomb threat

MADRID (Reuters) – Spanish police evacuated a building and briefly cordoned off several streets in the centre of Madrid after receiving a bomb threat, a police spokesperson told Reuters on Wednesday.

Reuters reporters saw the officers removing the cordon a few minutes later, but the spokesperson said there was no further information available on the ongoing situation.
