Berlusconi Treated for Pulmonary Infection in Intensive Care

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is being treated in intensive care unit for pulmonary infection, Milan’s hospital San Raffaele said in a statement.

(Bloomberg) — Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is being treated in intensive care unit for pulmonary infection, Milan’s hospital San Raffaele said in a statement. 

Berlusconi also suffers chronic leukemia which is currently not in acute phase, his doctors Alberto Zangrillo and Fabio Ciceri said in the note.

Forza Italia party leader’s treatment is targeted at reducing the negative impact of the disease and restore his clinical conditions before contracting the pulmonary infection.
