Airbus Says It’s No Longer In Talks for Stake in Atos’s Evidian

Airbus SE said that it will no longer pursue a minority stake in Atos SE’s Evidian business, though the two companies will continue to discuss other potential options.

(Bloomberg) — Airbus SE said that it will no longer pursue a minority stake in Atos SE’s Evidian business, though the two companies will continue to discuss other potential options.

A 29.9% stake in the Evidian business, “does not meet the company’s objectives in the current context and under the current structure,” an Airbus spokesman said in an emailed statement on Wednesday.

French news agency BFM said previously that Airbus wanted to renegotiate the price of Evidian. Airbus does not want to invest €1.2 billion ($1.3 billion) in Evidian without controlling it, according to the BFM report, citing people close to Airbus without naming them.

Atos shares fell 13% to €11.20 at 11:14 a.m. in Paris trading.
