Ugandan shilling strengthens due to falling importer dollar demand

KAMPALA (Reuters) – The Ugandan shilling gained ground on Thursday, lifted by falling demand for dollars from importers in manufacturing and telecoms sectors, traders said.

At 0912 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,770/3,780 per dollar, stronger than Wednesday’s closing rate of 3,785/3,795.
