Former UK PM Johnson says sorry for loss of life during pandemic

LONDON (Reuters) – Britain’s former Prime Minister Boris Johnson apologised for the loss of life during the pandemic as he appeared as a witness at the country’s COVID inquiry on Wednesday.

“I am deeply sorry for the pain and the loss and the suffering of those victims and their families,” Johnson said in his first remarks to the inquiry.
